Role 1 – Hours: 11.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday Term-time only

Role 2 – Hours: 8.45am – 3.30pm Monday and Tuesday, plus 12:00noon – 1:15pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Term-time only

TA Salary – Level 2 point 4 to 6 depending on experience (£19,264 – £20,043 pro rata)

Lunchtime Supervision Salary – Scale 1c, points 2-3

Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable person who enjoys working as part of a team? Would you like to work in our friendly school where we strive to make teaching and learning fun?

We are seeking to appoint two new members to our team, to take on two part time roles:

Role 1: Teaching Assistant to work in the afternoons providing learning support to children across the school. The post will involve supporting individual pupils and groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. Secondly, as a midday supervisor for five lunchtimes each week. This will include setting up the dining hall with tables and chairs, engaging with the children while they eat their lunch and packing away the tables and chairs.

Role 2: Teaching Assistant to work all day Monday and Tuesday providing learning support to children across the school. The post will involve supporting individual pupils and groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. Secondly, as a midday supervisor for five lunchtimes a week, engaging with the children while they eat their lunch and play outside.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Be fun, creative and enthusiastic, and willing to contribute to the vibrant like of our school.
  • Have empathy, and the highest possible regard, for children’s welfare and well-being.
  • Have Maths and English to at least GCSE standard.
  • Have a professional attitude, be a quick learner, and be able to act on their own initiative.
  • Be able to work effectively within a committed team.

The successful candidates will join a hard-working team of teachers and teaching assistants who focus on improving outcomes for the pupils in their care.

The posts would be a one year temporary contract subject to a review of the schools staff structure at the end of the academic year 2022/2023.
