We require proactive, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistants to join our successful teaching team!

Contract Type: 32.5 hours per week x 39 weeks per annum

Salary: Scale 1 – 3 dependent on skills & experience (for a full time role this equates to 15,806-19,017per annum actual take home salary)
We additionally offer a school specific allowance of £2,500 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Joining bonus: We offer a one-off £500 joining bonus on successful completion of probation period, based on remaining in contract with us for at least 1 year.

Granta School is a highly successful, popular Community Area Special School, catering for pupils aged 3 to 19 years old. We currently have 180 children on roll. We are extremely proud of our team who continually work towards providing our students with the best possible learning outcomes.

We are now looking for teaching assistants to join our dynamic team. The role mainly involves supporting small groups of students within the class as well as possibly spending part of the week working on a 1-1 basis with more complex or challenging students within a class where needed. As such resilience is essential and patience, flexibility and positivity are key.

Applications are invited from teaching assistants who are passionate about working with children and young people with a wide and diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Experience of working within a special school setting is desirable, however not essential and we are always keen to develop eager and proactive individuals. We offer a comprehensive training package, professional development and opportunities for progression.
