We are looking for a HLTA to join our EYFS and KS1 team.  We are looking for a dedicated and skilled practitioner to support teaching and learning for our youngest pupils.  We are looking for a Level 2/3 practitioner who will teach alongside the EYFS and KS1 class teachers, providing targeted group support, PPA provision and 1st day sickness and meeting cover.  The role will include completing the HLTA qualification and becoming the speech and language expert.

The post will include:  planning and preparing learning activities/lessons for pupils alongside the class teacher; delivering lessons to pupils in line with the Orchard Park Teaching Framework; assessing the development, progress and attainment of pupils; and reporting on the development progress and attainment of pupils.

You will need:  experience of teaching individual, group and whole class activities in EYFS and KS1; excellent behaviour management; an ability to complete a HLTA training course including the Maths and English test (if necessary); a developing understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1; an interest in speech and language development; some understanding and interest in the characteristics of learning as specified in Development Matters.
