Stilton Church of England (C) Primary School is in Cambridgeshire, which has LA offices in Huntingdon and Cambridge.  Stilton belongs to a cluster of schools in the North of the County, with Sawtry Village Academy at its nucleus. 

Location

Stilton is situated in the north of the county, 6 miles south-east of Peterborough and adjacent to the A1M near the old Norman Cross roundabout, with easy access to a range of neighbouring towns and counties. It is a thriving village with a friendly community. There is affordable housing at this end of the county and within easy reach of the school.

Staff

There are 10 teachers employed at the school; which include some specialist teaching in Music and PE. We currently employ 10 highly skilled Teaching Assistants, two of whom are HLTAs and a Family Link Worker. We pride ourselves on the quality of teamwork amongst staff and are fully committed to professional development of all staff.

Staff are expected to be excellent role models for the children with outstanding conduct. The pastoral care of all of our pupils is essential and the successful applicant would be expected to be fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The School and Curriculum

Currently, there are 183 children on role. The children are taught in 7 classes for Maths and English; Key Stage One are single year groups and Key Stage Two are mixed in the afternoons. This vacancy is to expand the school to one form entry and for KS2 Classes to be organised in single year groups for the whole school day.
