We are looking to recruit an Early Years Pre-School Assistant to join our team.
We will initially be offering 24 hours a week, including three late sessions (3-5.30pm), one of which is a paid paperwork session/ staff meeting on Wednesday afternoons.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification and key working experience. We will also consider you if you are unqualified and prepared to undertake Level 3 training within two years.

Room Senior - Stretton @ Fourfields
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week 8.00-3.30 Monday to Friday, term-time only.
WAGE: £8.45 per hours (this will be changing in April 2019)
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Minimum Level 3 in childcare and at least 1 years’ current experience in running a room and acting as a key worker.
Purpose of Post
Interviews will consist of a formal question and answer session with an interview panel and practical observation with a group of children for a session.

Main duties and Responsibilities
Early Childcare and Education
Work in partnership with the manager in planning and implementing early learning experiences and activities in line with the statutory framework of EYFS.
Assist the manager in the preparation of tasks and activities.
Assist in the setting up and clearing away of activities.
Prepare mid-morning drinks/snacks, clear away and wash up.
Assist with the toileting of children.
Carry out such activities as requested by the manager in connection with the daily routine of the Pre-school.
Accept guidance from the manager concerning day to day practises.
Help maintain and uphold the discipline code of practise of the pre-school.
Keep strictly confidential any personal information relating to the children, their families or members of staff learned as part of the job.
Adhere to the safeguarding policy of the group and report any cause for concern.
Work with designated children and their parents under the “keyperson” system.
Establish caring relationships with children and parents within an equal opportunity and non-judgmental framework
Observe and assess designated children under the “keyperson” system in order to plan a variety of stimulating activities to develop the children to their full potential.
Complete learning file for every designated child.
Communicate regularly with parents of designated children using the home/pre-school link book.
Produce termly verbal and written report to parents of designated children.
Work in partnership with parents to help designated children settle into the pre-school environment and prepare them for transition to primary school.
Provide adequate support for the manager and colleagues at all times.
Assist in maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure environment at all times.
Adhere to a professional code of conduct and appropriate dress.
Attend staff meetings at times deemed necessary and reasonable.
Attend training sessions as appropriate from time to time.
Assist with outings, Christmas parties etc.
Take part in annual quality management programme if required.
Work extra hours on an occasional basis to cover for sick colleagues etc.
