Middlefield Primary Academy- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Vacancy

Duration of Post                Permanent / 21.25 hours per week

Work Commitment            39 weeks, Monday to Friday, term time only plus training days  Mon-Fri 8.45am to 1pm

We seek to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our experienced staff team supporting children in our academy.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to our happy and friendly academy.

The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team. They must demonstrate full commitment to the academy and its aim to raise standards. Every day you will be assisting in teaching language, literacy and numeracy helping the class reach the early learning goals of the national curriculum, along with encouraging good behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

The ability to build good relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues;

Commitment to equal opportunities;

The ability to work in a team but also to use your own initiative;

Organisational and time management skills;

The ability to manage classes well and deal with challenging behaviour;

Excellent communication skills;

Patience and a good sense of humour.

Teaching Assistant level 4

Are you an experienced TA seeking a new challenge?

Fen Drayton Primary School is looking to appoint a level 4 Teaching Assistant for 21 hours per week. You must have had experience of covering classes at Level 4 previously and you may have the Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification. You will need a GCSE, O level or equivalent qualification in English language and Maths and be confident in supporting children in Year 5 and 6 in these subjects. We would like to hear from applicants who are keen to lead a curriculum subject, preferably PE, and may have an interest in children’s pastoral care.

We can offer you a significant role in a small village primary school, where children love to learn and parents are supportive. Our staff are welcoming and enjoy working as a team.
