You will have:


  • A desire to do the very best for all pupils through inspirational teaching in a supportive yet challenging environment
  • High expectations of staff and pupils in relation to performance, attitude and behaviour
  • Knowledge and experience of the SENDCo role including the National Award for SEND Co-ordination (or willingness to work towards achieving it)
  • A willingness to engage with parents and external agencies to access appropriate support for pupils

Two Primary Schools within the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust are offering a brilliant opportunity for the right SENCO to join their schools on a long term basis immediately! Glebelands Primary Academy is a popular, primary school based in the Chatteris, Thomas Eaton Primary Academy, it’s  sister school in the village of Wimblington are now looking to appoint an experienced and highly inspirational teacher who will be SENCO to join their wonderful team of staff. Their belief is that children thrive in a caring and intellectually stimulating environment with plenty of praise and encouragement, therefore it is vital to be considered for this position you must have:

Up to date and relevant training, experience and qualifications (support and funding given to achieve the SENCo Award)

A commitment to securing high levels of progress, achievement and self-esteem for all children

Used to liaising with parents and strong administration skills

Have at least over a year's experience as a SENCO or working with SEND children

This is a part time role working 3 days a week, days worked TBC. Full time could be considered working across the schools in the Trust.

The Headteachers along with the other members of the team provide strong and effective leadership which ensures the children and staff are performing to the best of their ability in order to achieve results.
