Deputy Headteacher - Glebelands Primary Academy

We are looking for a determined existing or aspiring Deputy Headteacher to join the teaching team at Glebelands Primary Academy. This position comes with a teaching commitment across the primary age range, experience of teaching across both KS1 and KS2 curriculums, up to date knowledge of the national curriculum and age related expectations. This position is a platform to build and shape your career as a Deputy Head moving towards Headship.

Previous experience of working in an Early Years Setting as a Key Person and a sound working knowledge of EYFS are essential.

We are looking for an experienced Level 3 practitioner to be key person to a group of between 10 and 12 children. As key person you will be responsible for meeting the emotional needs of each child in your care, helping them to feel safe and secure in their environment and supporting them to meet their learning and development goals. You will track children’s development and plan for their learning. You will also be the primary point of contact for your children’s parents and carers, discussing their needs and progress and providing regular updates on how they are getting on.

We are looking to strengthen our SEND and Child Protection team. A working knowledge of SEND and/ or Child Protection are also required and the successful candidate is likely to have worked as a designated person either for SEND or Child Protection.

The successful candidate will be hard working, team-oriented and willing to get involved. We expect our staff to be professional at all times, flexible and committed to their role. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
