We are looking to appoint a highly efficient, well organized, calm, hard-working member of staff with exemplary communication skills to join the School and help to manage the busy, friendly School Office.

We are looking for somebody who:

        ·     has a high standard of literacy, numeracy and excellent IT skills

        ·      enjoys working as part of a team with good communication and interpersonal skills

        ·      has knowledge of SIMS or similar management system

        ·     is adaptable and can use initiative when appropriate

        ·      respects confidentiality at all times and the ability to multi-task

Training and support will be given to the appointed candidate as necessary, however experience of working in an office environment and working with children is recommended.

We wish to appoint an experienced, passionate and creative playgroup assistant to deliver high quality pre-school education and early years support to children attending a small village playgroup in Teversham, and their families.

The successful applicant will provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the playgroup and maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment. They will contribute to the curriculum planning within the group. Playgroup staff members will have key children.

Your main duties will include:

  • Working as part of a childcare team to achieve improved Ofsted inspection judgments
  • Ensuring that the early years service delivered is of the highest quality
  • Liaising with families about their children’s learning and needs
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping and complying with reporting requirements
  • Promoting services within the local community and meeting local needs
  • You will have:
  • Experience of working in or supporting early years and childcare settings
  • A relevant qualification (Level 2 or above – Assistant)
  • Good communication skills
  • Passion for supporting children to thrive and meet their potential
  • Sound knowledge of child development and early years learning

Salary: £9.89 per hour, pro rata.

Hours: 18 hours per week term time only (8:30-12.00 Mon to Fri with an additional 30 mins per week for meetings).
