Thomas Eaton before and after school club is a new out of school club providing quality childcare for children aged between 4-11 years old. We require a Wraparound Care Manager to come and lead our wonderful team in our vibrant and exciting setting. We cater for children from 4-11 years old who are keen and eager to learn. Their inquisitive nature means we require someone that can move the children’s learning on in a direction that will keep them engaged and wanting to learn more. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above to lead our staff supporting children in our Pre-School.

Applicants must demonstrate a good knowledge of the requirements of the EYFS along with the Primary School Curriculum, have good planning and observations skills together with experience of working with children in this age-range.

Aside from working with the children; your job also involves the following, engaging with parents, planning exciting activities for the setting to excite the children’s love of learning, analysing and recording each child's progress and helping your staff team with their professional development to give our children an enjoyable and engaging start and end to their school day.

To be a good Wraparound Care Manager, you must have:

 

The ability to build good relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues;

Experience of working with 4-11 year olds;

Commitment to equal opportunities;

The ability to work in a team but also to use your own initiative;

Organisational and time management skills;

The ability to lead a team;

Excellent communication skills;

Patience and a good sense of humour;

Ability to reach vulnerable children and adults;

Excellent working knowledge of ICT

Good understanding of child development

 The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust are looking for a Before and After School Club Playworker to join Thomas Eaton Primary Academy.

 

Thomas Eaton before and after school club is a new out of school club from September 2018 and will provide quality childcare for children aged between 4-11 years old. Their inquisitive nature means we require someone that can work with the Wraparound Care Manager to move the children’s learning on in a direction that will keep them engaged and wanting to learn more.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic playworker in both the Breakfast Club and After School Club. The Breakfast Club runs from 7.15—8.45 am and after school club from 3.15—6.00 pm. We are looking to fill a position on a permanent basis, 5 days per week. Experience of working with children aged 4 to 11 years is desirable. Duties and responsibilities involve assisting in the planning, preparing for and carrying out a range of activities with children, both indoors and outdoors, setting out and packing away equipment and resources.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 

Have experience of working with children (desirable but not essential)

Be flexible

Be able to work as part of a team

Hold a Level 2 or level 3 qualification or have the willingness to work towards one

Share our vision and ethos for the highest standards in all aspects of school life

Have good communication and organisational skills

 

Duties include:

Assist in organising an appropriate range of activities and supervise the children alongside the Care Manager

Organising play areas, materials and equipment

Encouraging fair and caring behaviour among the children

Encouraging independence and self-esteem

Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met
