We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work across all Key Stages within the school. The ideal candidate will: 

Have experience of working across all both EYFS /Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

Be experienced in working with children with challenging behavior or SEN.

Be able to work as part of a team

Duration of Post:  Permanent / 16.25 hours per week

Work Commitment:  39 weeks, Monday to Friday, term time only plus training days, Mon-Fri 12pm to 315pm

Salary Range:  SCP 17, £7,949.96 per annum pro rata (FTE £18,672.00)

We are looking for someone with relevant experience who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to our happy and friendly academy.

The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team. They must demonstrate full commitment to the academy and its aim to raise standards. Every day you will be assisting in teaching language, literacy and numeracy helping the class reach the early learning goals of the national curriculum, along with encouraging good behaviour.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • The ability to build good relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues;
  • Commitment to equal opportunities;
  • The ability to work in a team but also to use your own initiative;
  • Organisational and time management skills;
  • The ability to manage classes well and deal with challenging behaviour;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Patience and a good sense of humour.
