The Shade Primary School
The Shade was built in 2013 to accommodate a two form entry primary school with a 52 place Pre-School on the edge of Soham. We currently have 254 children, with one form entry from Reception through to Year 6.
Our aim is for all children to master learning skills that bring a love of learning, achievement, confidence and independence, in order for them to be the designers of their future. We work closely with parents and the community to encourage a caring attitude, take pride in our roots and celebrate our successes. We are firm believers in growth mindset and we help children to become resilient learners that have a thirst for knowledge.
The Shade Primary School is part of an inclusive and diverse community in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and ability to fully participate in school life knowing they belong to our school family.
We are part of Staploe Education Trust, a Multi Academy Trust serving part of East Cambridgeshire. Along with Kennett Primary School, Soham Village College (a large comprehensive school in Soham) and The Weatheralls Primary School we are a strong, local partnership looking after the learning and wider interests of young people in our community.
