Manea Community Primary School

Manea Community Primary School is located in the growing village of Manea close to Chatteris and March. We are a welcoming, friendly school that takes pride in our lovely building and the people inside it to create a happy, purposeful environment for our learning.

We love outdoor learning as well as indoor learning and have established an enquiry approach to learning from Early Years and Key Stage 1. We are beginning to develop this approach with aspects of the Key Stage curriculum. We are delighted to be a Forest School since 2017 where children learn and develop skills in a variety of outdoor sessions including knife work and making fires. This develops their confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in our local woodland and our natural environment. We also achieved our Silver Primary Science Quality Mark in 2017.

The governors are also responsible for Manea Preschool attached to the school which takes children from the age of 3. We were delighted when our Ofsted Inspectors agreed with our school self-evaluation and saw the progress our school has made judging it to be a good school with outstanding early years.

Our school is an inclusive school and was awarded the Rainbow Flag in 2019 following work on challenging stereotypes, celebrating difference and understanding and tackling prejudice.
The school is filled with wonderful displays and lots of children’s work to celebrate their achievements. The children that attend Manea Community Primary School are proud of their school and enjoy talking about their learning.

We welcome new members to our team and have a mentor system in place to show them round the school and be someone for people to ask questions. We look for people who are committed to our aim of being the best that we can be!
