Isle of Ely Primary School

We are a new primary school located to the north of Ely in a new state of the art building. Isle of Ely Primary School opened in September 2014 as an Active Learning Trust Academy, with two reception classes, we currently have a roll of 280. The school is growing year on year until we reach full capacity. Then we will have potentially 21 classes and 630 children. Isle of Ely Primary School is a fun, caring and stimulating learning environment and our children are enthusiastic and lively.   The staff, the Active Learning Trust, and the Head teacher are dedicated to the growth and development of the school, and together with the parents and local community, we work to promote high standards of achievement and behaviour.

At Isle of Ely Primary Schools we believe that the curriculum is a powerful tool that promotes a love of learning and willingness to explore and time to have fun. We use the National Curriculum as a starting point for a wide and varied learning experience for our children. We enrich it by our strong ethos based on respect for ourselves and others, equality and a sense of wonder at the world we live in. We are committed to developing the whole child and believe that children do not have to go through the hoops to achieve the end goals but can go around, over, and/or through the hoops in order to learn and achieve and succeed as individuals. Our children will have the opportunity to be creative, to be physically active and academically challenged.
