Buckden CofE Primary Academy

Buckden Church of England Primary Academy (Primary Academy Trust) is a vibrant and welcoming primary school. We pride ourselves on being a school that is at the heart of the local community, having strong links with our local parish church of St Mary’s and the local community of Buckden.

As a Church of England school we place an emphasis on the development of the whole child – both academically and spiritually. The school has a strong Christian ethos, underpinned by a core set of aims and values developed by our wider community.

Our school was rated Outstanding in July 2015 and we continually striving to improve and ‘do things better’. Over the last couple of years the school has been continuing on its journey to strive for the very best we can be and this was recognised in 2016 by our headteacher, Alison Anderson being designated a National Leader of Education and the school, a National Support School.

We continued to work tirelessly to development the school for the benefit of all stakeholders. In 2017 the school was designated the lead school and set up A1 Teaching School Alliance. Our primary focus is and will always be to continue to raise standards, whilst also endeavoring to provide a broader, stimulating and more engaging curriculum for everyone in our school. To give each and every child the best possible start to education that they can have.

We are a very open school and welcome visitors of all kinds, from parents and grandparents visiting for lunch, to colleagues from local and regional schools working alongside us, as well as Local, National and Global organisations. You are most welcome to come and visit our school and see for yourself the tremendously hardworking staff and pupils we have here. We would be delighted to meet you and show you around.
