Petersfield Church of England (Aided) Primary School is a small, rural school serving families from within the parish boundaries of Orwell, Arrington, Croydon, Tadlow, Whaddon and Wimpole and from many other locations outside of our school catchment. We are committed to providing a high quality education within a Christian context and we work hard to create a caring environment, both inside the classroom and out. By focusing on excellence, enjoyment, perseverance and building relationships we support and inspire our pupils throughout this stage of their lifelong learning journey.

The school office is the heart of the school. Petersfield needs an enthusiastic, skilled and diligent Office Administrator to join our staff team.

The Office Administrator’s role is to provide administrative support to the Headteachers and effective support services to the school and wider community to ensure the smooth running of the school in line with the SFVS documentation and processes.

Salary to be paid on the Pay Spine for Professional, Administrative and Clerical Job Family: Scale 1 (from £8.90 per hour) to Scale 4 (to £10.65 per hour) depending on qualifications & experience

Part time: 31.5hours per week (8:30am-4pm 4 days a week, 8:30am to 12noon on Thursday)

Start Date: as soon as possible

We are looking for someone who:

  • is caring, patient and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills
  • has high expectations.
  • is skilled in ICT use
  • demonstrates attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.

Playworker – Monday and Tuesday and one additional evening from 3:05pm-6pm

We require a playworker to join our small but enthusiastic and friendly team of Puffins staff. We are looking for someone who:

  • is caring, patient and enthusiastic, with good communication skills and has high expectations.
  • is able to plan with pupils and other playworkers to deliver exciting activities for all pupils who attend the out of school hours club.
  • is highly motivated and keen to further raise standards.

As we prepare for the retirement of our long serving Finance Secretary, we require an enthusiastic and diligent person to join our office team as Finance Secretary.

 

The Finance Secretary will provide an effective administrative service in school with specific responsibility for assisting the Headteacher in the preparation and monitoring of the school’s budgetary provision to ensure proper accounting of the school finances.  The role includes covering the office when the other secretaries are not present.

 

Salary to be paid on the Pay Spine for Professional, Administrative and Clerical Job Family: Scale 1 from £8.90 per hour to Scale 4 (up to £10.65 per hour) depending on qualifications & experience

 

Part time: 6 hours per week (with the possibility for 2 additional hours totaling 8 hours per week)

Start Date: as soon as possible

We are looking for someone who:

  • is caring, patient and enthusiastic, with good communication skills
  • has high expectations.
  • is skilled in ICT use
  • demonstrates attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.
