Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Induction

Cambridgeshire provides a thorough NQT induction period, designed to provide both support and challenge, allowing NQTs to build upon the skills and knowledge gained during training. All NQTs should have a structured programme of professional development which will build on the areas for development identified at the end of their training. Continued Professional Development (CPD) and training

CPD is crucial to newly qualified teachers or recently qualified teachers. You can find out about NQT level training here.

Support for trainees qualifying next year……

For those who will qualify in 2020, we have an event just for you.  This event is for trainees looking for their first teaching post.  We will have workshops to help you make a good application, think about what school you’d like to work in and a chance to get a mock interview with some local head teachers.  Also there will be staff from Cambridgeshire schools there for you to talk to about jobs in their schools.

  • Secondary and Primary Teachers Recruitment Event. The next event will be Tuesday 3rd December at Cambourne Village College, 5-7pm. You can register for free here.
