Developing Effective Teaching Assistants is a newly developed programme aiming to support teaching assistants to develop their skills in a range of areas and maximise their impact and effectiveness when working with young people.
Programme aims
The programme is not subject specific and aims to develop a range of strategies to promote learning, including:
- Managing behaviour and attention
- Developing literacy skills
- Developing numeracy skills
- Talk for learning
- Feedback and assessment for learning
